Classroom course

  • 21 November, Rhyl (Rhyl Community Fire Station) 09:30 - 13:00

If you want to learn about how GDPR impacts organisations that are running ESF or ERDF funded projects, then this classroom course is for you. It's also a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge of key changes introduced by GDPR and to learn what steps you can take to comply with the new regulation.

By the end of the course, learners should:

  • Be familiar with the new principles of data protection
  • Understand whether their European operation is defined as a data controller or a data processor, and the legal responsibilities they will have
  • Be able to identify the six lawful bases for processing data (and further conditions if processing special category data), and determine which will be the most appropriate for their specific areas of work
  • Have knowledge of how long WEFO requires data to be kept for, and
  • Be familiar with the practical steps that organisations working on European projects can take to comply with the changes introduced by GDPR.

Our courses are free to third sector organisations delivering, or with an interest in delivering, European funded activity under the 2014-2020 programmes.

Individuals from public or private sector organisations that are running an Active Inclusion Fund project, or an ESF or ERDF project that has third sector deliverers, can also attend our courses for free.
