Gemau Cymru is Wales’ largest annual multi-sports event. Translated as 'Welsh Games', its vision is to inspire young people across Wales to continue their learning and development as athletes and citizens.

Gemau Cymru is the bilingual signature event for young people in the Welsh sporting calendar and enhances Welsh sporting pathways in partnership with various governing bodies for sports.

Gemau Cymru gives talented young people a positive experience of an inclusive multi-sport event through relevant sports competition and an athlete village.  This year's event will be taking place in a variety of venues across Cardiff on 6th - 8th July, 2019.

We are currently recruiting volunteers aged 16+ to specifically support the athletics and table tennis events on Saturday 6th July.  No previous experience is necessary as training will be provided on the day.

All volunteers will receive Gemau Cymru uniform, lunch and refreshments, as well as an opportunity to take in some great sporting action, have fun, develop new skills and experiences, and make friends too.

The main volunteer roles are:

• Competition Assistant - Assisting with scoring, timekeeping & recording results
• Administrative Assistant - Assisting with registration, spectator enquiries & branding
